Cheryl graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne and initially built her career in the banking industry before transitioning into academia as a Lecturer. During her time in education, she witnessed firsthand the emotional toll of divorce on individuals and families, which ignited her longstanding aspiration from childhood to become a Family Law Lawyer. Cheryl is dedicated to assisting clients in navigating the complexities of family law, providing compassionate guidance through what can often be an overwhelming emotional journey.
In 2020, Cheryl earned her law degree from the University of Manchester and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore. Prior to her admission to the Bar, she gained invaluable practical experience in Family Law during her traineeship and subsequently after being called to the Bar, practicing Conveyancing at an established law firm.
Cheryl’s maturity, empathy, and multidisciplinary background enables her to effectively understand and respond to her clients’ unique needs, providing them with a comprehensive legal roadmap. She adeptly assists clients with negotiations and mediation, firmly advocating for their rights. Cheryl is committed to continuous professional development, ensuring that she remains informed of legal advancements and best practices to deliver the highest quality service to her clients.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Cheryl is an avid supporter of Singapore’s vibrant theatre scene. She also enjoys quiet moments spent reading or exploring museums. Whenever possible, she values time spent traveling with family and friends to recharge and recalibrate.
